Huge disappointment
My husband and I dine at the finest restaurants in the U.S. (Daniel and Nobu in NYC, for example) and were excited to go to Sent Sovi. Big press. We went with friends who also enjoy great restaurants, esp in San Francisco. The prices were steep and the food mediocre. We expected to be dazzled and it was only the bill that did so. We even went back to give it a second chance since critics rave about it but it was no better the second time. Very nice decor and atmosphere. Good service. Not only was the food not up to our expectations, but the chef, in his desire to be creative, put some very strange stuff together.    [20 Aug 2004 15:43:14]
