Wonderful food and service if you don't mind spending the money! You don't have to spend the big bucks to eat here, but I'd recommend trying. In my limited experience, the entrees at the top-end of the price range are worth it. The Ahi Sashimi appetizer is sensational. The wine list is impressive. The beer and whiskey selections are pretty good too (Firestone double-barrel on tap). My point is, you could eat here for $20 a head, but i would recommend either doubling that and splurging or just skipping.
The location on Seal Bch's Main St. lends itself to a complete night out. Dinner at Walt's, a brisk constitutional on the pier or the Electric Ave. greenway to work of some of the calories, window shopping on Main, a movie at the excellent big screen Bay cinema, a night-cap at the Abbey (best beer list in towne), and if you don't want to go home yet, stumble down to one of the dive-bars like Clancy's near the pier and call a cab at closing time! Appetizers and Wine Get here early, try to nab a table in the bar. Order a few appetizers and the premium wines by the glass ($10-$12 a glass). We usually go for the roasted artichokes, steamed clams, and the melon/crab/cucumber salad. For two people, you end up with a $75 tabe, but it's light and delicious. [05 Aug 2006 22:26:02]
