wine and pasta
Piatti's overall is good food. Don't expect any esoteric dishes and any creativity, the kitchen can over cook a beef steak and underdo poultry. Send it back if it is not right. Good wine selection. Friendly staff.    [15 Jun 2003 02:25:09]

SweetBreads
This fine dish was done so poorly it was almost uneatible. The sweetbreads hadn't been pulled correctly nor fried to crispness. The veal/balsamico sauce was light and runny and rather bland. Dish was tepid at best when it was served as it waited for the server to get around to picking up. Waitstaff are preoccupied, with themselves. Was seated close toopen kitchen so I could observe the cook's misssteps.    [30 Oct 2005 06:38:08]
