I like it Every time I come to Lake Tahoe, I make a point to visit the Brewery at Lake Tahoe. The beer they brew is pretty good- not smashing, but still very good. I recommend The Sampler (seven 5 oz. glasses for like $6 or something). Some of the lighter beers could be better, but most of their ales and especially their porter are good. I also like the food. Their pizza is really good, give it a try. They barbeque steaks, ribs, and other meats in the summertime on an outdoor grill, and they're good too. My girlfriend ordered a pretzel and didn't like it, but who orders pretzels at a pizza joint anyway? The only problem is the staff. They're all young kids who are more interested in socializing with each other and flirting with each other than with taking care of the customer. Almost like they're having too much fun and not taking care of business. But overall, I recommend giving the Brewery a try. You'll like it. [25 Feb 2005 20:15:18]

What a find! We stumbled upon this place this past weekend looking for a pizza place near our hotel. The pizza was GREAT, but the beer was FANTASTIC! (We had the Bad Ass Ale.) In our case the service was great and I can't wait to go back. It is small though (both inside and the parking lot) so arrive early! [06 Mar 2007 12:39:37]

It was OK I wasn't too impressed with the pizza, but then I wasn't there for that reason. The sampler was good but, I still think I brew better beer at home. The staff was pleasant, I sat at the bar with my family and they were attentive. They even let me talk to a brewmaster on duty. Of course this was in October of 2006 so things may have changed since...for better or worse. [15 Jun 2007 15:43:18]

Bad Bad Bad We had a large group out on a Saturday & were seated outside, no problem. It was very busy & our waitress was great even though it was tough to find her at times. Pizza was good, they forgot to bring out a lasagna until our meals were almost done & we sent back a martini because it tasted poor. All was fine until Gabriel, the owner/manager came out with an attitude & said "What's with the lasagna & what's with the martini guys?" Attitude from the beginning. This guy has NO CLUE about customer service. We had a $150 dinner & drink bill & this guy wouldn't take off the martini we didn't drink because he was having a bad day or maybe some personal problems. Worst customer service I've ever seen, sad. It's Fine If You Have Low Expectations If you have low expectations, then you won't be disappointed in "the Brewery at Lake Tahoe." I was fine with looking past the overly greasy pizza and the fact that our server made a mistake writing down our order and brought the two of us each a large pizza instead of the pizza and salad we wanted; but when she intentionally went out of her way to screw us by over-charging us because she expected to receive no tip (after the table beside us did not leave her a tip either, because she screwed up their order) -- that drove me mad. It's a pathetic ploy to gain an extra few dollars, but she most likely needed it more then I did. I would not recommend this place unless you have recently suffered head trauma and can no longer taste, smell, or do basic math. [24 Oct 2007 09:46:32]

Brewery Top Notch This is by far my favorite place to come visit. The beer and food are fabulous, and the service is just how it should be, laid-back, not an ounce of pretension, and friendly. If you don't have a serious stick in your ass, can understand a popular place being busy, and don't mind waiting in the winter and summer months then you have to visit the Brewery.
