I'd seen favorable reviews of Great India Cafe and decded to give it a try. I've been eating Indian food for over 35 years and consider myself an authority of sorts. Went with a friend on 8-2-07. The meal was disappointing for us both.

Two of three dishes were practically inedible and I am not exaggerating. The eggplant entre (about $9) was flavorless, overcooked and appeared to have been prepared earlier in the day. There was almost no perceivable spice in this unattractive dish. A "rice of the day" (overpriced at about $5 or $6) a small dish of pulao with a few peas and carrots had a distinct foul aftertaste.

The third dish, a lamb wrap served without the chutneys stated on the menu was not bad - but we both felt stongly that this restaurant was "cutting corners" with our meal. I cannot recommend eating here to anyone and unfortunately I will not return as a paying customer to give them another try.    [04 Aug 2007 16:10:47]
