Renoir's favorite House Wall murals of Renoir's paintings overlooking the ocean and a musical delight of different overhead CDs. The upstairs bar is open late night for those who dabble with friendship and piano playing-the owner is delightfully pleasant a gracious man and the ambiance speaks for itself.
Returning to the neighborhood I found the place less snobbish than I thought it would be. The overall history of the Big Yellow House, is wondrous enough however, the food is good.
A suggestion though, use fresh mandarins instead of canned on the luncheon Oriental chicken salad, sesame oil and more won ton noodles.
I am not really new to the area, just returning after thirty years of travel.
Use the coupon clipper magazine more often to keep the winter business. That advertising helped us to find your restaurant.
Summerland is better because of this restaurant. A delightful contribution. [02 Sep 2003 01:35:21]

The Big Yellow House That Once Was... ... ... We used to frequent the Big Yellow House in Summerland, before it was taken over by the new owners. It had everthing one could want in a restaurant. In fact it was much more than an eating place. Then it was sold!!! We stopped in exactly two times after it was sold, and vowed we would never return. The new owners had turned the Big Yellow House into The Big Yellow Lemon!!! It was clear that they did not know how to run a business. It had become the worst place ever! We were quite saddened by it all. [03 Jun 2006 01:39:14]
