It's not big on atmosphere, but the Armenian Gourmet serves excellent food - and lots of it.
I've never been a big fan of stuffed grape leaves, but the Armenian Gourmet's sarma (lemony grape leaves wrapped around rice and ground meat) won me over. Like most things here, the stuffed grape leaves come on a bed of tasty rice pilaf.
We also tried the sauteed beef and the chicken kebab. The chicken kebab (grilled chicken on a bed of rice pilaf) was quite good. The sauteed beef (strips of beef mixed with vegetables, sauteed, and seasoned, served with rice pilaf) was the real standout, though. Definitely give this one a try.
Service is friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable.
It's a good idea to call before heading over to the restaurant, since they only have one chef, and they're open for limited hours. [24 Nov 1999 14:16:52]

Consistently Good I've been going here for over ten years. Perfect for a tight lunch time, when you need to get right back to the office. (They want you in and out as much as you do.)
Great appetizers and main dishes. Lamb for those who don't prepare it at home. Chicken or vegetarian for the picky eaters. Something to please everyone.
Only drawback, they won't seat you 'til EVERYONE in your party is present. And I mean in view! [08 Jan 2008 21:56:24]
