Description

Small takeout bento place hidden in a strip mall one street east of Lawrence Expressway. They offer sushi (combo boxes, California rolls, inari), bento boxes, and combination meals. The combination meals give you an entree and a side dish. Entree choices include chicken katsu, salmon teriyaki, and saba shioyaki. Side dish may be gyoza, inari sushi, California roll, chicken tatsuta, or several others.

I had high hopes but got a little disappointed. Shio-saba was not grilled like shio-saba found in Japan. Shumai was watery, perhaps it was microwaved too long? The only ingredient I was pleased with was the rice - it tasted very good.    [24 Apr 2003 21:19:36]

Good price/quality and nice owner
This is an excellent home style cooking with good food. It is just like mom's food, that I can eat everyday without getting tired of. Do not go there if you are looking for exotic Japanese food.    [23 Mar 2006 12:08:24]

Good Place For Takeout.
This is not a fancy place, but if you need some dinner quick and want reasonable "home cook" style Japanese bento, this is a good choice. They are my favorite to get a takeout before I get on a plane. Nice people too.    [09 Jun 2006 21:15:05]
