Excellent Spicy Mexican Food This place serves spicy, reasonably flavorful tacos and burritos. Especially recommended are the al pastor and chili verde tacos. Their horchata (a rice drink) is very good. Mostly Mexican clientele. Watch out for the jalapenos served with most dishes: they don't seem so spicy at first, but they'll make your ears burn if you're not careful.
Parking is always difficult. [10 Feb 2000 16:55:23]

The food is great. I took some back to Ohio with me. They have the best quesadillas on the planet. [04 Jul 2001 09:28:12]

Authentico You know it's authentic Mexican food when the clientele speaks less English than the staff, and the jukebox only has serious Mexican titles. The salsa is thin and hot hot hot, the sodas are in cans or bottles, the frijoles are soupy, and the tortas (Mexican sandwiches) will knock your socks off. This is where I go when I'm hungry for the real thing, not a prettied-up restaurant dinner.
No table service, really; it's the kind of place where you get your drink, someone drops your plate off at your table perhaps, and you're on your own until you decide to quell the fire of the salsa with another soda. But it's a super deal and a fabulous place. If there were such a thing as a five-star cheap taqueria, this would be it. [29 Jan 2004 02:20:45]
