Upscale Afghani Meat, chicken and salmon kabobs are very much the thing here. There's also a meat dumpling dish smothered with yogurt and ground beef that's very good. There are however very few items for vegetarians on your watch. Perhaps they'll settle for the afghani bread and the yams. Oh, and skip the rice, unless you're one of the vegetarians. J. Mir
J. Mir has little taste The rice at the restaurant is excellent. There is also plenty of options for vegetarians. The fact that "J. Mir" did not even mention the excellent lamb at the restaurant leads one to believe that he/she did not actually eat at the restaurant. 5 stars, great atmosphere, service and wonderful food. A bit pricy, but about the same amount you'd pay for Crapplebee's. [27 Aug 2005 20:46:05]

Great for Vegetarians and Meat Eaters Too. A long time favorite of ours. I'm veg, he's carni.
I've been vegetarian for a long time and I love this restaurant. The veggie plates are all delicious. I must say the rice is very good, I'm very picky about my rice, and I won't touch most restaurant rice, this is good. They have two pilaf style rices pallow and challow.
My spouse loves the lamb there, he says most places don't have good lamb like they do in England, but *this* is good lamb. He has enjoyed most of the meat dishes there also.
It is a nice restaurant, a bit dark maybe but not bad. Elegant and yet casual, hard to explain that contrast but it is. Our kids seem to behave well there and don't seem out of place in spite of the adult atmosphere. (No paper kids-menu, no crayons, regular drinking glasses.) We do take out though if kids don't seem poised enough.
I always have to order without this and without that due to our allergies and they are fine and friendly about it. Not many places get it right.
They do get busy but the wait is never very long, I don't know how they do it. [19 Oct 2007 21:34:50]
