Good Place for Sweets, Lunch and Dinner
Excellent food, though its north style; mouth watering sweets. Their rasmalai is excellent; some of my friends recommended it, so I went to try. Their lunch/dinner thali menus are very yummy. It's hard to locate this place; they need some advertisements.    []

Good Lassi, but Beware of Price
I heard a lot of good things about their sweets so I went to go try it. At the time I was only craving a drink, so I tried the sweet Lassi.

Mmmm. Good sweet Lassi, but beware of the price. The 12 ounce (small) Lassi had just enough sugar to remind me of the yogurt in mainland China. The texture was just the right balance of thickness and smoothness. It was not as cold as it can be, so their refrigeration was probably not operating at its full potential.

As for the price, I was rung up for $2.25 + tax, so the total was $2.44. After I paid, the register was cleared to $0.00 and no receipt was given, probably evading taxes. Then a price list slightly obscured with another dangling price list showed the lassi to be $1.99. I asked about the price difference, and the owner said it's an old price. B.S. Then, I said that they should put up the new price sheet. No response.

I was impressed by the lassi, though it was a bit small. But beware of their impromptu pricing.    [30 Sep 2005 02:10:59]

Place Needs a Clean Up
I like the food as it tastes like home cooked without the hassle and its cheap. I guess you get what you pay for - but this place is really dirty. It needs a really good clean up but the punters roll in so they don't care. I took my parents as I thought they are used to India and wouldn't mind but they were pretty disgusted at the state of the place. The dead insects in the front window really need to be cleaned away! But alas I do like the food and am now after reading the other review worried about the oil - yuk! Was going there tonight but decided to pass...    [29 Mar 2006 23:38:44]

The food was excellent; the place is nice and clean. I enquired about the oil; amazingly, the oils are low fat and low cholestrol, veg. oils (soy, palm). There are notes in the front door indicating all these oils.

Excellent Food and Friendly people
I have been to so many Indian restaurants and tasted a lot of different Indian dishes. Dishes prepared at Lovely sweets are really good and fresh. There Chaat papri, Aloo Tikki are awesome. Their food is fresh.    [11 Jul 2007 16:59:27]

Decent Food
Food is decent, only thing is you cant revisit the place once too many times cause they dont change the menu as far as their dinner or lunch combination is concerned. Otherwise allright service.    [12 Sep 2007 20:42:01]
