Must Try This Salad Absolutely fantastic, I would love the recipe for this salad. It is good enough to be the main meal. [21 Sep 2001 10:45:46]

I wanted a smart and upscale steakhouse to celebrate a very special birthday, and Charlie G's did not disappoint! My guest said the steak was the best he'd ever had -- and it was huge. The whole meal was excellent and only gets low marks for the lack of attention by the bus boy. It's not an inexpensive place, but you get what you pay for. I plan to return soon. Valet Damaged My Car-Charlie G's Won't Pay The food was okay, they ran out of baked potatoes, the service was extremely slow. My steak was fine, however my friend had two crab cakes, which she said were overpriced and oily. Then the valet brought my new PT Cruiser into the lot and parked over the cement markers and tore up the skirt of my car. The valet, whose name I wasn't given, offered my husband $100 for the damages. The partner at Charlie G's said to get an estimate and he would pay for the damages. I did that and he blew me off. Don't ever give your car to the valet at Charlie G's. [20 Nov 2003 15:10:51]

Excellent on Most Nights This is the best place for steak in the valley, hands down. Fairly good wine list as well. Your experience will be good or bad completely based on your server. Service if iffy at best . . . they seem to have a lot of turnover, and if you don't get someone who has been there for a while, your service will suffer. They obviously don't spend a lot of time training.
However, with that said, it can't be beat for Valley dining. [04 Feb 2006 21:35:16]

One of the Best in the Valley The ambiance, decor, and piano music are a 10. The crab cakes, the "wedge" iceberg with Maytag blue cheese, and hearts of palm with Belgian endive are all the best in town. The prime New York and rib-eye steaks are a 9.5. Do not order sauces. It's not a French joint. Service is slow on Saturdays. [22 Apr 2007 15:51:57]

Overpriced. The Crowd Is More of a Senior and Middle-Aged Group. If you're on a budget, this is not the place to dine. If it's a special event, then maybe it's okay. The crowd is older. The youngest person I saw in the bar was in their 40's. [28 Jun 2007 20:22:33]
