Store Bought Bank Food
The Stucco walls are very dirty. Could stand a dusting, and the floors to be vacuumed. Also, besides the salsa and rice, the food was made of things you can buy at the store. Canned enchilada sauce, and cheap 99 cent ranch. The beans were totally watered down. The food was good for something store bought but there was nothing to keep me going back about it.    [09 May 2005 14:50:47]

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant ever! And I've been to many. Most everything is made from scratch, including the sauces. Beans are awesome, in fact, I always ask for extra. Very, very good, IMO.    [25 Sep 2005 08:51:12]

Change is a comin'
I understand The Bank of Mexican food has been sold. The new owners are taking over in late February. Big changes are planned. I'm looking forward to it. It is a great little place to hang out. Nice people!    [28 Jan 2007 14:01:44]

The ALL NEW Bank of Mexican Food
This place is awesome. The new owners have completely remodeled but kept up the tradition of the original Bank. The food is fantastic, the chips are fresh, the salsa is awesome. The place is clean and very cool.

How do I know? My wife and I bought it and put a lot of money into the remodel. The comments? That's what we heard our first week from the customers who came in. If you have never been there, come check us out. If you swore you would never come back, come check out the changes and stay for a beer.

I am biased I know! When my wife and I bought The Bank of Mexican Food, we did a complete remodel yet kept with the historic tradition of the Old Bank Building in Temecula. We cleaned the place up and hired one of the original chefs taught by the original owner.

People tell us the place looks awesome and the food is fantastic. If you have ever (or never) been to The Bank of Mexican Food, come to historic Old town Temecula and give us a try for Lunch or Dinner every day or Breakfast on the weekednds from 8-11am.
