The good news is: No crowds.
Despite a semi-abrasive host/owner the meal was quite good. That's if you make it that far. The waiter/waitress uniforms were incredibly dirty (and I mean DIRTY)...and not from hard work...this was dirt from way-back. The dining area was also in need of a serious cleaning.
It was all I could do to not think about the probable state of the kitchen.

What a great dinner! This place has the best steaks in town!(and probably the county) The rustic decore fits the ambiance well. There are numerous displays of old western movie props that make it seem like a mini museum.    [14 Apr 2004 13:27:10]

06/14/04 I read the first review before going in, and I'm pleased to report that employee uniforms are now clean and professional. Tables are adorned with tablecloth and white cloth napkins. I think the place got a makeover since the last reviewer was in. If you're a fan of old western movies, there's plenty of memorabilia/photos to view. Food and service was very good. Unlike the crowds and waits encountered at places like Black Angus, you can get immediate service here; that is until word spreads around.    [15 Jun 2004 13:32:39]

Why?
The place was empty the whole time we were there except for a couple of drunks at the bar. Guess why. The steaks were tough, the potato over done. The service TERRIBLE. Avoid this place like the plague.    [02 Mar 2005 14:49:40]

Excellent
Been there about 20 times now and the food is excellent. Expecially the steak & eggs, pork chops, county fried steak, and the accompaning gravy is the best. Sevice is good and they try real hard.    [25 Jul 2005 10:06:12]

Best steaks in town, great food.

Service is inexpert but eager to please.
