Far from Chinese Food
Unfortunately, this place should not be called a Chinese restaurant. The only Chinese things about the place are the name and two waitresses.

The "crispy duck" was not crispy at all; the "orange beef" was chewy, cold and mushy. The steamed rice had a burnt flavor to it; I am guessing some burned in the cooker. If you close your eyes and taste the food, you would be very hard-pressed to know what you are eating.

Unfortunately, the best part of the meal was the fried wonton appetizer, which was free, but a dish you would not find in China.

Sadly, in the Thousand Oaks area good Chinese food is very hard to find and this place is definitely not one of them.    [05 Oct 2008 00:38:37]
