Mastro's is Overated! The dining room is very cramped. You actually have a wide variety of steaks and seafood of choose from. My wife and I ordered a double porterhouse. Now, I've had this steak at other steakhouses, so I have something to compare. I ordered the steak medium. Well, the filet portion of the steak had burnt edges. I've never had this happen before when ordering a steak. I was expecting a mouthwatering steak for this price (around $78, but it was just okay. I was disappointed. I expected better for this type of "high end" restaurant. I did enjoy the side dishes of Mastro's mashed potatoes and creamed spinich. The French onion soup had may too many croutons. It needed more stock! I brought my own wine, which I usually do when I eat steak out. However, they charged me a whopping $25 corkage. Way more than I pay at Morton's or Ruth's Chris. I didn't order dessert becasue I was too full from appetizers and dinner. By the way, the crab cakes were dry and had no flavor. I also tried my brother in law's lobster which was also dry as a bone. Overall this restaurant overcooks their food and charges way too much for it. For that amount of money I'd rather go to Beverly Hills and spend less money for better food and ambiance.
