The Best Food in the South Bay

Best Lebanese
I know cities by their Lebanese restaurants. LA used to be Sibians in Whittier but they closed last year. I have had to interview several places since and Aristo is the best for the most reasonable prices.    [25 Nov 2006 14:58:33]

South Bay's Best-Kept Secret
Aristo Cafe has some of the finest, top-quality, fresh, simple Mediterranean cuisine, which I discovered with a couple of my friends. It's simple and cozy, and has a welcoming atmosphere . . . ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!! Fast service. Among my friends, we ordered four different entrees that were delicious. We ordered a couple of appetizers, like kibbeh rolls (football-shaped meat balls stuffed with ground beef, onions and spices); they're to die for. We also ordered the grilled salmon salad . . . ohhhh, the best I've ever tasted!! I highly recommend this dish! The best part about the entrees was that they come with a choice of a homemade lentil soup or a fresh colorful house salad. The lamb chops were exquisite, and the best part was when we were offered the best baklava. What a treat! My friends and I are very pleased with this fine, affordable restaurant that did not burn a hole through our wallets. We will definitely be going to dine there more often.
