Friendly place
I stopped in to check this place out and sat down in the bar area. Bigscreen plasma TVs, very attentive (and attractive) bartender, a few regulars watching the football game.

I ordered "Irish Nachos", which are large French Fries with cheese, the regular fixins, and ranch dressing, and thankfully I got a half order: it was plenty of food for one person, and delicious. Washed it down with cold Newcastle on draught.

Service was prompt, and the appetizer with two Newcastles cost less than $10 - I considered this very good value.

There is a downstairs gameroom that was quite busy - the "regular" bar was quiet - and though I didn't actually look at the upstairs "lounge", the blue-ish velvet curtains had a "seventies" look to it.

Previous incarnations of this establishment allowed smoking inside in spite of the law against it, but thankfully Fitz's doesn't seem to. There is a smoking area outside that seemed to be honored.    [13 Sep 2004 16:32:23]

Awesome club every Friday night
The DJ is there every Friday night from 9 PM to 2 AM and plays hiphop, R&B, and even some house music. Friendly crowd, great food and drink specials, plasma tvs for sports, 3 rooms and 3 bars, 4 pool tables, shuffleboard, good prices, jukebox. Most of the bartenders are attractive 21-30 yr. old females. Dancing every Friday night with no cover charge. Great place to eat, drink, watch sports, and hang out.    [15 Apr 2005 20:13:58]
