Great Sushi, Great Atmosphere I stumbled into Kitajima (aka the sushi bar on El Camino) by accident one day for lunch. What I found was a family-owned sushi and teppan restaurant that serves top-quality, great-tasting Japanese food at competitive prices. All ingredients, especially the fish, are fresh and delicious. My family and I have now made our number-one sushi choice. [22 May 2005 17:32:11]

A Tustin Favorite This restaurant has it all . . . Good food Fun atmosphere GREAT Service
My husband and I found it because it was the only sushi place open in Tustin on New Year's Day a few years back. Now we don't go anywhere else! It is the best.
If you're not into sushi, definitely check out the teppan tables!! [26 Sep 2005 13:53:31]

Best-Kept Secret in Olde Towne Tustin Time and again, this is by far the freshest and most consistent quality grade-A fish in all of Tustin and the surrounding areas. They are tucked away in a corner location at the south end of El Camino Real in Tustin (just on the north side of the 5 Freeway.
I have been a sushi lover for over 20 years, and this place is GREAT! Priced right, and always, always top-notch fish.
They have a great teppan grill also. A must for the serious sushi lover! [10 Oct 2005 20:35:59]

Fresh and Tasty Food was fresh and tasty. The chicken teriyaki was not overwhelmed with sauce. Staff is quick, friendly and courteous. [25 Apr 2006 10:41:15]

It Doesn't Get Better Than This! We have been Kitajima friends and customers since it opened. Hisa and Angie put their hearts into this restaurant and that's reflected by the regular customers who frequent it. Although there are many Japanese restaurants in the area to choose from, we choose Kitajima for its continuing excellence in food and in service. It's a family atmosphere. If sushi isn't your favorite, there are many other dishes to select that are equally as good. There is something for everyone at Kitajima! [07 Jun 2006 22:48:14]

Great Variety and Atmosphere We were some of Sushi on El Camino's first customers and the love affair continues with a change in name and the ever continuing upgrading of environment. They serve the best sushi and teppan in town. We just can't find a better place to eat. [29 Nov 2006 20:15:13]

My Absolute Favorite I eat at Kitajima at least two times a week, and the best part is the prices are so great I can actually afford to do that. Just the best sushi around . . . always fresh, with surprises on the chef's special wall daily. I can't say enough about Angie and the entire staff, who are always friendly and helpful. Very good. We have joined some friends the past two years on New Year's Eve for dinner, as well as on other special occasions.
Angie and her staff are one-of-a-kind. Always friendly, and they go out of their way to take care of their extended family (the customers).
Fish is always great, as well as the tempura (members of my family do not eat sushi, but enjoy the tempura).
A must visit if you are in the mood for some sushi. It's worth the extra 5 minute drive if your place is only so-so. [03 Jan 2008 15:56:21]
