Parisian cafe in LA
Stick with the French dishes. The Italian stuff isn't as good. But if you follow my advice on the French stuff, you'll have an experience you otherwise have to go to France for. Good prices. Large portions. Informal. I think it's one of LA's best kept secrets.    [13 Jan 2001 12:27:13]

Best kept secret in L.A.
The Canteen is a true French restaurant, open late, with great service. Try the spinach balls, the Canteen house salad (for a delectable twist of a traditional French dinner salad) and the tomato-basil soup.
