Haven't Had Good Mexican Food Since Moving from Vacaville I lived in Vacaville from 1978 to 1985, at which time I moved to NYC. While living there our family dined at El Azteca many times. Their family recipes formed the basis of my love for Mexican Food; it is the restaurant by which I judge all Mexican restaurants. The flavors are unforgettable, the service friendly and attentive, the decor beautiful.
Maybe it's that Mexican cooking is better on the West Coast, or that I'm judging different regional versions of the recipes, but in the end, when I order enchiladas, rice and beans, chimichurry or tacos (the famous Azteca combination plates), I expect to get food as flavorful as I've had at El Azteca. In NYC, a place stocked with Mexican restaurants, so far I've gotten nothing but bland food, no matter who makes it; ever had an enchilada where the spiciest and most flavorful part is the tortilla it's wrapped in?
That's never happened at El Azteca. I look forward to dining there the next time I'm in Vacaville. [19 Aug 2003 13:25:46]

Best Mexican Food El Azteca serves the best Mexican food I've ever had. There's no comparison to it and I dine here at least once a week. Their service is outstanding and they make sure every order is correct. I've never once gotten a wrong order or been dissatisfied with my food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food at a good price. [10 Jun 2007 03:28:55]

Mexican Buffet for Hungry Folks This is a wonderful home-style Mexican food place. It is not overly fancy, but certainly not a dive. The buffet is a great idea for folks who have teens, which will break you at any other Mexican place. The buffet with drinks is less than $10.00.
The buffet is 7 days a week, 11am-2pm. [28 Dec 2007 22:57:23]
