Description

A Western style grill and saloon serving steaks, poultry and seafood specialties in a relaxed atmosphere. Two large heated outdoor patios with a long wooden bar with over 40 beers on tap. Lots of off street and on street parking in the area.

Great Steaks
Visited Winchesters for the first time and was impressed with the no-nonsence atmosphere, bustling waitresses and great steaks. The full menu had a variety of steaks as well as my favorite "Santa Maria Style" Tri-Tip. Our waitress Amy didn't wan't me to mention her in my review...so I won't. They have a wide assortment of appetizers, try the venison stuffed mushrooms. On the weekends they are open for lunch, with several TV's turned to sporting events. For lunch try an ostrich or buffalo burger for a change. The half-pound Winchester burger of certified angus beef comes with fries - order it rare with sauteed mushrooms and onions for a real treat. Dinner specials include swordfish, salmon and cajun pasta. There is a jukebox next to the door and the place reverberates with the conversations of all the locals. The scene shifts to a younger crowd after 9:30 PM and the beer really flows. Say hi to J.R. if you go by, tell him Papa Mike sent you.    []
