Beautiful setting - great food at reasonable price We came across this cafe quite by accident and immediately fell in love. Set back off the main street down a charming courtyard, Zoey's has all the characteristics of an outdoor Parisian cafe. We split an Apollo panini sandwich and a Caesar salad. I had a lemonade infused with lavender and my partner had monks blend iced tea. The service was friendly and we relaxed for 2 hours on the patio, people watching and enjoying the day. Will definitely come back! [14 Feb 2007 10:41:55]

NIGHT OF BLUEGRASS ON THE PATIO It was my first trip to Ventura for business and was told the downtown area was happening. While walking down the main street, I heard the sound of music coming from the courtyard, so I walked towards it. Turned out to be a bluegrass jam. I grabbed the last available outdoor table and began my woderful evening. I ordered the cheese tray and a glass of the Santa Barbara Winery Pinot Noir which the server recommended. Perfect call. My entree was a greek pizza which was fresh and tasty. Another glass of the pinot was called for. The owner stopped by to check on me and we chatted for awhile about the great, locally produced wine. He encouraged me to visit the Santa Ynez Valley and do some wine tasting the next time I was in the area. He really made me feel welcome which was not hard in this friendly relaxing place. It was so good, I returned the next night for more food, wine, and music. If you are ever in Ventura, check this place out for great food, wonderful music, and friendly service. The wine is not bad either! [04 May 2007 12:05:30]
