Check your bill twice! Food: The food is of good quality, Prime Rib can be excellent if you get a piece that is fresh, and not from nights before.
Service: Service is prompt and tries to accommodate. Service has been known to add items to the bill that no one in your party has ordered. Waiting for your main entree in excess of 45 min to an hour is not uncommon.
Ambiance: Employees smoke in the kitchen around the food and the preparation of food. Dining room is nice and comfortable.
Other: Check your bill! It is known that with larger banquets and large parties there will be items on your bill that you and your guests did not order. The staff has been caught ordering alcoholic beverages on the tabs of customers. [03 Mar 2006 16:21:43]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Prime rib, just ask for a fresh piece

Lousy Service Bad service started in the lounge and continued right into the dining area. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give service a 2. The rib-eye was really good and another party member enjoyed the ribs. A real overkill on the vegetable with enough broccoli on one plate to have fed the whole table. Made a lousy presentation. For the price I expected a lot more. Had a group from Australia with us and it was rather embarrassing. [18 Oct 2006 13:09:46]

All around a great Steak house I have to eat out often due to business travel, From Maui to Denver, Las Vegas to Los Angeles and north to Portland. Double LL is very consistent with excellent food and reliable service. You cannot duplicate the consistency. Although on weekends you may experience a wait, it is due to the popularity and good food! If You're His Friend, You've Got It Made! Be very clear with your reservations, number of seats and placement of table.
Peek into the kitchen and see if they are smoking around the food, you'll be surprised. Ask if the server has worked there long. Beware of items charged to your bill but forgotten to be brought over. Be careful if friends of the manager are visiting and taking his time, because you will probably not be attended to as you would expect. [18 Jun 2008 20:03:18]
