Sidewalk Filets & Praiseworthy Service
When it first launched - Lark Creek Cafe was a bit stuffy. No more!
The first-class establishment has learned this doesn't work in the down-to-Earth borders of trendy Walnut Creek - so they've changed.

I am a very picky diner. In fact, we had just walked out on another Walnut Creek establishment whose hostess couldn't get things right - and we ambled over to Lark Creek Cafe on a whim. In the range of $100 later - wine included - we left with the feeling we had just had a very worthwhile experience.

Our waitperson was warm and swift - backed up by her co-waiter. The two of them never missed a clue that service was needed. They also made us feel we were guests in "their" home.

The chef gave an outstanding performance - with perfectly done filets and excellent presentation.

I had abandoned this place in their stuffy days - but decided to give them this second chance (perhaps three years later). I'll go back now for a second helping.
