Rude People The food was ok, but the servers are so rude. This is not customary Japanese dining. The owners must beat them up daily as they are so bitter! [23 Oct 2003 03:39:13]

Very very good I was transported back to our trip to Japan Ryokans and am very grateful to this little local restaurant for making my birthday way more special than I could have ever anticipated. we ordered the super fancy $60 per person "let us choose your dinner" meal and we were very pleased as course after delicious course was served to us with elegance and style. I don't know what the regular menu or service is like, but if you want a real treat, order the chef's choice. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Also, be sure to order the featured sake. Basically, take their recommendations! Very very happy customer. I will be going there every year for my birthday now. [29 Jun 2005 15:23:22]

Hidden Treasure Most Japanese/sushi restaurants today fall under two categories: 1) They are a hole-in-the-wall, small, bland places with so-so food. 2) They maintain a trendy, modern ambience but still serve so-so food, if even. Miraku is nothing like I've seen before in a Japanese restaurant. The decor is beautiful, traditional yet modern, complete with a small pond. The food is amazing. The common dishes are all there, but the taste and quality is way above anything else. The sushi is fresh, and the rolls are creative and beautifully presented. On Friday and Saturday nights, it tends to get busier and so a little noisier and the service may be a bit slower. But it is worth it. The wait staff is attentive, personable and endearing. I don't recommend anything that I don't support 100%, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who inquires to a good Japanese restaurant. [25 Jul 2005 15:29:01]
