Best Chinese fast food in Whittier.
This is a nice run mom and pop store that has the best tasting chinese fastfood in LA. The orange chicken seems to be the most desired dish since its tray was emptied and promptly filled twiced as I waited to be served. I notice that they had 9 chicken dishes: chicken chopsuey, kung pao chicken, greenbean chickens to name a few. I was also glad to see that that they had BBQ Pork; my favorite among chinese cuisine. I order their combo special which was half fried rice and half chowmein and two side items. For my two sides I got the BBQ Pork and the Orange chicken. I sat down and poured hot sauce all over the food. The BBQ Pork was moist, soft and sweet. The Orange Chicken was definitely worth the wait. The taste was a delicious blend of sweet and salty flavors.
China Wok Express was a bit small considering the amount of customers they get. I went on a friday night when the line was out the door. I could tell the food servers were a bit on a rush but still smiled. This is definetely a restaurant worth the wait. The food was delicious! Highly recommended!    [11 Jul 2004 04:10:24]
