Not making the grade
When I was visiting in Portland, OR, I had an excellent pizza and beer at a BJ Restaurant in Portland. When I saw a new BJ Restaurant in my neighborhood of Woodland Hills, I wanted to tried it. Unfortunately, the Woodland Hills restaurant was a disappointment. To my surprise, the pizza was mediocre, although the private label brewhouse beers seemed the same as at the Portland restaurant. The restaurant is laid out nicely, but a thunderous rock soundtrack made it hard to think. Both the waiter and the manager stopped by my table to inquire about the service, which I thought was a nice touch, but neither was able to do anything about the blasting noise which filled the restaurant.    [29 Feb 2004 15:24:39]
