Fantastic food, little price. After eating at Dan's the first time I knew I was hooked. But when I went back this past Monday and happened to get there just as the warm, fluffy, in-store made bread was coming out of the oven I knew I was doomed to desire Dan's subs for all eternity. The food is great, there are huge portions, and the prices are very economical. A standard sub is around $4.50 and a jumbo (2 people could eat this monster) is only 6.75 or so. They have over 30 different kinds of subs and the 6 I have tried so far have ALL been fantastic!! [09 Nov 2001 01:55:39]

Simply THE Best A mainstay.....I was introduced to Dan's 20 years ago by a longtime friend who's family locally bakes and delivers the bread for Dan's EVERY morning. Fresh, phenominal, and friendly as it has been for years and why I and many others loyally return. The Valley's #1 Sub! [03 Jan 2003 16:03:01]

The Valley's best Sub sandwiches I have been going to Dan's for submarine sandwiches for years, and their subs are really great. The big secret (one of them, anyway) is that their bread is really fresh. Almost all other sub shops use stale (or no better than day-old) bread, and it really shows. I think the other shops don't sell enough sandwiches to be able to get daily delivery of bread. Dan's help is friendly and efficient, and even though the restaurant is only about the size of the inside of Orsen Wells' head, they keep the line moving briskly and the sandwiches coming. Dan's only possible competitor for "Best Sandwich Anywhere" is at Bay City Deli in Santa Monica. [29 Feb 2004 21:21:27]

Dan is the Man Since eating Dan's on a daily basis in high school i still make it a point to drive home from USC simply for the #6 - Roast Beef and Turkey. I have eaten every sandwich from Bay City to Phillipe's to Il Tramezino and Dan is, was, and will always be THE BEST. Also try the Mac Salad. [22 Dec 2005 15:08:31]

Had the pastrami sub while in town visiting some old friends. I would seriously consider moving back to California just to have access to Dan's on a regular basis. [12 Jun 2006 14:56:39]
