Hammentaschen
The hammentaschen are the best on the west coast, especially the poppy seed filled ones. They also have apricot and raspberry filled.    [29 Mar 2004 20:49:23]

Things have changed in Woodside, as they've changed just about everywhere. I dropped in to the Woodside Bakery & Cafe with my daughter to get a coffee and some pastries. There were a few people at the small tables eating, and one other person in line ahead of me at the pastry/coffee counter.
There were also about three to four other employees walking about.

I waited in line behind this other person patiently for about five minutes. The woman ahead of me was taking her time deciding what she wished to order - she already had a coffee she was sipping on. The young woman assisting her was engaged in conversation in helping the woman and did see me, but said nothing to me. It was taking somewhat of a long time.

The girl behind the counter knew I was there but continued to say nothing. All she needed to say was "Hello, I'll be right with you", or she could have asked one of the other three to four employees to assist me, but she didn't. I left. As I was leaving I saw that the girl said something to the woman and they both chuckled. Very, very poor customer service.    [27 Apr 2006 00:55:31]
