Excellent So far every item I have tried is delicious (and I've gotten at least half way through the menu)! The Apple Strudel is the a must have for dessert [06 Dec 2001 20:26:31]

Kraut-heads!!!! If you enjoy good German food this is your ticket. The people who work there are very friendly and the food is outstanding! Make sure you walk in hungry and try the Jager Scnitzel! [16 Jun 2003 15:24:19]

top notch Its everything you'd expect in a nice German restaurant (though I think the folks that run it are actually Czech) - its spotlessly clean, the service is friendly and efficient and the food is truly delicious. The building isn't ultra-fancy outside (it was a Pizza Hut long ago), but the way they have decorated it gives you the feeling that you've stepped into Europe. [07 Jan 2004 17:04:10]

Far, Far Short of Expectations A long wait for a reserved party of six, the waiter's bad pronounciation of the menu items, flimsy paper napkins, totally inappropriate glassware for Weizenbier, and, on top of all of that, shameless misadvertising (0,4L of draft beer does not equal 16 fl. oz. of draft beer!) left this diner totally underwhelmed.
Dining options abound in the Denver/Boulder area. Golden Europe's all-beige cuisine requires that punctuality, accuracy, and even a touch of elegance accompany the dining experience. Without these, the owners of this restaurant cannot hope to attract an enthusiastic, discerning clientele. [07 Mar 2004 15:06:22]

Denver Restaurants usually s*ck This is an exception. The service is sometimes slow, the accoutrements are not top notch, the beer selection including draught is more than adequate, but the food is as good as it gets. Come hungry. I miss it living in PA now. The ONLY restaurant I miss in the whole state of Colorado. (An old Chicago boy) [27 Jun 2005 14:15:48]

Quiet enough for a business lunch The special was smoked pork with horseradish sauce - heaven. My lunch companion had the sauerbraten which she praised. The sevice was excellent and the place was not crowded. I would recommend this for a business lunch. [25 Aug 2006 13:35:28]
