My favorite restaurant. Period

not what you might expect
Only bean and/or beef items. No chicken or fish. Very limited menu. The beef burrito smothered with green chili wasn't too bad but the tamale plate was terrible. I guess if they have something you really want this place might work.    [09 May 2004 19:05:45]

Good Food and Great Service
The food came out almost immediately and the service was delightful and friendly. You have to try the green chili and the chili con queso. You'll come for the food but the family and the service will keep you coming back. Great place to eat!    [15 May 2004 05:32:56]

Simply the Best
If you like white washed Mexican... this ain't the place for you. This is REAL inland Mexican style food. Not faddish like Chipotle, or Rubio's. This is the REAL deal and the only place worth eating Mexican in the Denver area!!! Love it!    [22 Dec 2006 18:12:35]

Best Authentic Mexican Food in Colorado!
I've been eating at the Monterrey House since I was maybe 5 years old -- back when the original owners still owned this place.
