Description

The Boulder Broker Inn serves Continental style entrees, specializing in steak and seafood dishes. They serve a four course meal including a bottomless bowl of peel and eat shrimp, soup or salad, bread, vegetables, and homemade cheesecake or ice cream for dessert.

Every Sunday they serve a champagne brunch featuring a different theme, such as Greek, Mexican, French, Polynesian...and the first Sunday of each month is the popular Seafood theme. They serve waffles and omelets made to order, peel and eat shrimp, eight hot entrees that reflect the theme of the week, breakfast items, pastries, a full salad bar, and ice cream and sundae fixings. They also have a carving station with roast bacon or beef and glazed ham, a kids cart featuring items for children under twelve, and a dessert table with over 30 homemade dessert items. Champagne is included. They also offer a la carte fresh squeezed juices and coffee drinks. Tableside magician the Amazing Lamont and balloon artist Bongo offer complimentary entertainment.

The hotel also contains a bar, Bentley's Lounge.

Awful - wish we had left
After waiting for 20 minutes for our server, she told us the host would take our order, despite the fact it wasn't that busy.

The clam chowder was cold, the gnocci was pasty. The broccoli wasn't cooked, and the baked potato was under cooked and arrived only with butter. When we asked for sour cream, we learned "they were out!" How can that be with grocery store just down the street. No horseradish arrived with the prime rib, but none ever arrived when requested. The lack of caring by the staff was the final straw.    [18 May 2006 16:50:58]
