More than the tea is imported at the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House. Heading up to Boulder? Don't get on Route 36 without denver.citysearch.com's guide to the People's Republic.--> - CitySearch - suggest change

Unique Restaurant; Great Food; Good Prices Very enjoyable and unique dining experience in Boulder. The "teahouse" was built by Tajik workmen from Boulder's sister city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Intriguing building/decor. Tea offerings are very varied, for any tea lovers. My wife and I stayed with the excellent and popular house chai, however. But dinner menu is also very good, with varied ethnic selections both for meat lovers (e.g., shish kabob) and also catering to vegetarians. Very reasonable prices. Complimentary serving of flatbread and excellent olive oil for dipping. The 3 of us enjoyed everything enough to swing through Boulder on our trip return, just to eat there again.
