A Disappointing Sunday Breakfast
This morning our family of 8 went to the Chautauqua Dining Hall for a grand-daughter's birthday breakfast. The dining hall is to open at 8:00 and we had our reservation for that time. From this moment forward the meal made a steady downward spiral. They were not ready to seat us or others. The breakfast buffet was a disappointment--eggs Benedict were cold, pastries were grocery store purchases, scrambled eggs hard, pancakes soagy. After having such fond memories of Chautauqua dining over the 40 years we have lived in Boulder the general concensus of the group was a huge let down and an event we will never repeat there. Maybe sticking to their breakfast menu would have been better.    [16 Jul 2006 15:33:15]
