Colorado's Best
Where is the best place to go for Pizza in Colorado? According to the 2000 edition of "Colorado's Best" by Bruce Cauhey and Doug Whitehead it's Farquahrts in Durango. Farquahrts unique whole wheat crust sets it apart from the rest. It is served hot from the oven on a pizza pedestal. The ambiance is nearly as good as the pizza. Nostalgic memorabila and pictures adorn the red brick walls. Greenery hangs from the old molded metal ceiling. An elaborate 19th century hand-carved, mirrored bar spans the back wall. The prices are very reasonable -- less than the national chains. The wait staff is friendly and the service is prompt.    [19 Dec 2005 17:38:53]
