Brooks Caters to High Rollers
If you and your spouse are looking for an elegant dining experience, look elsewhere! If any person of status is in the restaurant, you will be ignored as they receive the service of the entire wait staff. Also, don't be surprised when a quiet evening turns into a Furr's cafeteria dinner as they let 4 bus-loads of people into the main dining area exceeding the maximum occupancy and 150 decibels of screaming from drunk patrons overbears your intellectual conversation.

The food is far above average, but for a 5 star experience go to The Palace Arms!    [05 Mar 2001 11:46:20]

Fantastic
Best steak house ever. The porterhouse I had was incredible. It was noisy, but how can you blame the restaurant for that. Go here and I guarantee you will enjoy your whole night.    [09 Mar 2001 00:28:33]

Food was amazing!
First timer. The food was excellent. Far above average. One of the best meals I have ever experienced. Great wine list. It was a bit noisy, but I adjusted and didn't notice the noise after awhile.    [31 Jan 2002 01:45:19]

Truly Outstanding
I have dined at some of the finest establishments in the country and I would have to rate the Surf and Turf as the best entree that I have ever eaten. The filet and lobster tail were perfect. The wine list is also very good.    [03 May 2002 17:57:27]

Awsome
I loved the way they served the Caeser salad, and the way that when my steak wasn't cooked enough the chef cooked it a little more for me.    [30 Dec 2002 21:12:18]

The Best Restaurant In The World!
The first time I visited Brooks Steak House was excellent, and I have eaten there ever since. The food is spectacular, the food marvelous, and nothing went wrong. I would recommend it to anyone. The Colorado Avalanche, and many well known people prefer to eat at Brooks. Everyone gets the same amount of respect.    [14 Mar 2003 18:38:44]

A trip to Brooks is worth your time.
I needed a place to celebrate with my wife and some friends. We have all been to the normal upper establishments Denver has to offer so we wanted something different. Off we went to Brooks. I have never seen a wine list like Brooks offers and the steaks melted in our mouths and the lobster well I thought we had gone stright to Maine. I have refered every one of my friends and family members. I hope to see you the next time I am there.    [10 Jun 2003 13:27:45]

skip it
Incredibly bad service. This place has really slipped in the last year. It took 10 minutes to simply place a drink order; waitress ignored us on numerous occasions and brought the wrong entree's to two members of our party. When presented with a bill I noticed she had tacked on a tip of well over 20% because we had a party of 7.
If you want a true dining experience skip this place.    [04 Sep 2003 15:49:26]

Valentine's Heart Burn!
Incredibly unprofessional service & management. Seating was packed like sardines. Kept getting back of chair bumped by waiters & bussers. Had to eventually flag waiter down to order drinks. Ordered steak seared on outside & rare in middle. Ribeye came seared well done 2/3rds the way thru and raw, not even grilled on other side hidden by plate. Took 5 minutes for waiter to arrive back at table, so I could get a new steak. Waiter left my vegetables, but no silver to eat it with. After another 5 min., I went to hostess and asked if I could get a fork. Manager Jason comes to table with a fork, and asks if that would be all. Let him know I am still waiting on steak. He says, oh I didn't think you were eating anything else. What did he think, I came to a steak house to eat just asparagus. Finally, after 20 minutes since my wife received her meal, I receive my steak. My wife was almost done with her meal. I got to sit & watch her eat & now she gets to sit & watch me eat. Asked for manager, Jason, he said as long as my steak was cooked correct the second time that there would be no compensation, even though it was an unpleasant dining experience. Obviously no tip was left. Manager, Jason ran outside to tell my wife and myself, this is why he would not compensate anything on our bill, and then cowardly ran back inside. The bad service & food quality aside, this was the most UNPROFESSIONAL experience we have ever had.    [16 Feb 2004 10:50:58]

Happy Birthday!
The last time I was at Brooks was waaay back in 1978 when it was Chateau Pyrenees. It was elegant then. Fast forward to 2006. Updated, but still with the warm elegance of the days of Chateau - with the dark woods and beveled mirrors. We celebrated birthdays this evening, my sister's and mine. The experience was total. From help by the server in choosing a champagne to extremely attentive and professional servers; from the fun atmosphere (it was pleasantly noisy with people having a good time) to the outstanding presentation of the food, it was the perfect upscale evening. NO wonder Brooks' is rated number one steak house in America! Oh...did I mention how the food tasted! Awesome! We will definitely visit again!    [13 Aug 2006 00:31:25]
