WOW! On a recent trip to Estes Park, my boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying a lot of the local restaurants. However, after eating dinner here our first night in town, we knew we didn't need to go anywhere else. The food was all amazing, particularly the well-seasoned soups, which varied from night to night. Ask for a window table to watch the droves of tourists who pass by and look at your food with envy! Mangia! Being the grandson of a native Italian, it's probably comes as no surprise that I am REALLY fussy about Italian food. Few restaurants, regardless of location, satisfy what I expect in terms of freshness and flavor. The Dunraven Downtown was such a pleasant surprise! They make veal parmigiana the way I like it - and few restaurants (regardless of name and fame) make it right!! The curb appeal is lackluster but it's nice and cozy inside - much like what you'd find in Little Italy in NYC. The food and service were impeccable and we've been there many times when enjoying our condo in Estes Park. We give it four thumbs up....2 from me and 2 from my wife! [17 Feb 2007 12:25:01]
