Survival Survival... it's what you're going to need to get through this experience. A truck stop diner type atmosphere with worse food. I might consider going back to get my dog a treat but that's the only business they will ever receive of mine. [08 Apr 2002 06:11:21]

Breakfast Stop The of the best breakfast burritos available anywhere. On Father's Day 2007 my son's wanted to take me to breakfast for a great breakfast burrito. The first place we stopped was closed, despite the advertisement that promised open daily. The Ever Open (formerly Al's Cafe) was what I was looking for. Ambiance? It's a truck stop. If you are too sophisticated for truck stops, then move on. [19 Jun 2007 20:44:53]

Breakfast Is Worth It My coworkers and I often order up the biscuits and gravy from Ever Open. They are very tasty and even a half-order will fill you up, for only $3.00. [25 Jul 2007 12:25:24]

A Fort Collins Treasure Ever Open Cafe is the *best deal in town* for a traditional breakfast. I've eaten there for lunch a few times too, and I've never had a bad meal there. (I can't say that for more than a couple of places in town). It is obvious that many of their customers are regulars who have been coming in for years. Great food, quick friendly service, and reasonably priced. Oh, and they have Wi-Fi.
As for the ambiance, well, I wouldn't call it a truck stop. (They don't serve gas and they don't have a garage). But it did look a little scary the first time I walked inside. They recently painted and replaced some nasty looking ceiling tiles, and that helped the appearance enormously.
Whatever you do, don't let the way it looks stop you from going in to eat. I checked them out in the 'Restaurant Inspection Database' (http://www.larimer.org/food/main.asp). They had a few problems some years back, but they rated Average in 2003, Good (which is better than average) in 2004-2007, and Excellent (top honors) in 2008. (Check out some of the places you like to eat in that database; Ever Open has a pretty good record). [30 Jun 2008 16:14:44]
