Flavorful good Mexican food We live in Eastern Utah and go to Grand Junction 2 to 3 times per year. We ALWAYS eat at Conchita's. The food is simply fantastic. The spices are just right, a nice hot kick but more importantly, very very flavorful.
We like the fact that the made-from-scratch burritos and other items have good wholesome ingredients and include unusual things like potatoes in them. (Mot your everyday "gringo-ized" Mexican food)
The portions are very large, and it is too good not to take the leftovers with you. The house salsa is fantastic, served with free tortilla chips. You can even purchase a pint or quart of the salsa to go.
The servers, staff and owners are friendly, and the relatively small facility makes for a friendly, fun atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated in a cool southwest/Mexican theme, and the location is on the North side of Highways 50 and 6 with ample parking. We plan on eating at Conchita's many times in the future.
