My husband and I have eaten at Mario's several times when we are passing through Gunnison, and it has always been great. However recently we ordered a take out pesto pizza which was definitely not up to their usual standards....it was extremely oily and the pesto tasted as if it had been stretched with things other than basil. Great Pizza!!!!
Our kids have been students at Western. Every time we visit we get the Chicago stuffed crust pizza. My fav is salami and garlic. We even usually get one to take home to Bailey. Sometime service is a bit slow, but the stuffed crust pizza takes longer to cook, and it is well worth the wait. Booths are a bit tight for large butts like mine...    [01 Aug 2007 12:40:19]

Mario's is a institution
in Gunnison. I went to college there and whenever I go back, dinner as Mario's is required. Right about the booths...they weren't originally there. Mario has been sold, so maybe the new owner will take out the booths...    [06 Oct 2007 11:27:20]

Love Mario's
I loved it when I was a student at Western.....Now I have a son attending Western!! Still good and I love the house salad. Served the same way 25 years later.    [07 Dec 2007 17:28:23]
