Best BBQ! The restaurant is developed in a house, which makes the rooms a little crowded. But there is seating outside and inside. The atmosphere is family-oriented and fun. Absolutely the best BBQ I have ever had!!!!!! [19 Mar 2002 18:45:25]

Help the hostess My wife, her parents and I had dinner at Dick's Hickory Dock this past Saturday night. We arrived at 5:30 PM and were told that you had just started to take people's names down on a list. We weren't seated until 6:15 and it was a long 45 minutes. I know that you have only been open again for a short period of time, but the service seemed to be significantly wanting compared with the rest of our dining experience. They were working hard but it had not been made clear to us how long the wait might be and that it may be a wise decision to sit outside. It was hard watching so many people who arrived after us be called for tables both inside and outside as we waited.
We asked to be seated inside, but were told that all of the tables could not being utilized because there wasn't enough wait staff to support them. Meanwhile, any new patrons were told that there were tables open outside. We watched as several groups arrived and took tables outside.
We sat in the waiting area near the fireplace. It seemed like we were forever in the way of wait staff rushing in and out of the building. During our wait, we were not once given the impression that the hostess even acknowledged how long we had been there or to tell us how much longer it may be. It was strange, we were at the top of the list when we arrived but we just sat there and watched everyone else take tables for 45 minutes. There was a couple that wanted to sit inside but were told there was a wait. When they said that they would then have to leave, the hostess found them a table inside. All we could think of was the apparent shortage of wait staff was being used to handle patrons who arrived after we had.
I love the new building, I have always been a big fan of the layout and location. The BBQ sauce was excellent and the baked potatoes were great. It seems like you have so much potential. I do sincerely hope though, that they are able to straighten out the apparent service problems. [24 Sep 2002 15:46:13]

Remodel leaves cool review Drove all the way to the Dock from Littleton to get away and enjoy the food. Sorry to say I was disappointed.
The potato (used to be a favorite) item was small, old, and cold. The apple crisp was tasty, but warm when delivered - nothing like the pictue that came to mind. The soup my friend ordered was not close to being hot.
I used to love this place. [30 Sep 2002 16:23:57]

THE DOCK IS BOSS! Me and my chums trekked up the mountain this summer to snag some grub at the Dock. Man-alive, it was super! I don't know what these cats are talking about with the service, but they're talkin' trash!
Dick's Hickory Dock is NUMERO UNO!
Ain't no buns here, Chief. You get your meat, on bread, just the way Ma used to make.
Trust me. I ain't no turkey. I'm the KING of BBQ.
I've been all over this country, putting some of the tastiest meats in my food-hole: Memphis Style, Carolina Style, Texas Style -- BBQ can be like a fine, fine wine. It has regions and flavors, just like the BLUES!
And let me tell you, son. Tony Roma's? No. Memphis BBQ? PLEASE, brother!
Dick's Hickory Dock is WHERE IT'S AT. They'll supply the paper towels -- ON A PIPE, but brother, YOU BRING THE BIB.
Now beat your feet up to this shack and tell me I ain't talkin trash. [11 Nov 2003 02:08:46]
