Best Green Chili I've ever tasted
I was first introduced to Las Cazuelas about two weeks after they opened. I've since traveled all over the Southwest amd California. Las Cazuelas remains my favorite smothered burrito in the world. The green chili is rich, and filled with large chunks of pork, and the refritos taste homemade. The food hasn't changed in the past 27 (or so) years. Great Mexican food
Family run, neighborhood place. Delicious and consistent food. We especially like the carnitas and the barbacoa. These are pork and beef which are very slow-cooked over night. Our waiter/owner Mike is very happy to describe the cooking methods. They are served with the best green chili, which if you are out of town for a few days, you begin to crave dreadfully! I also especially love the chili relleno, soft; the traditional way with the egg batter, and of course, smothered. Wonderful refritos.    [06 Dec 2007 14:44:00]
