Please Don't Waste Your Time. I love the menu. Hate the service, hate the waitstaff, hate waiting for my check at the end, they don't seem to know what is on the menu, or care. I have been there three times, bad service each time. Once there was a bread wrap tie in the Nachos. The next time our beef burrito came to the table as a veggie special. And the last time, they were out of their house special custom brewed beer at 4:30 in the afternoon. It must be a front for an acting class, they certainly aren't in the food business! I will return often, be rude and not leave any tip. Be forewarned! [05 Nov 2003 22:29:49]

Bad Yeast in Beer! Ever had a headache after drinking beer? Well, try drinking beer from the Pumphouse and you'll see what I mean. When a brewer doesn't use good quality yeast to make the beer you can get this mild side effect of a headache. Oh, you'll survive and probably not even realize it was from the beer but why bother. Food Isn't All That Great Either... I can confirm the problem about service: it takes them forever, mostly because they never hire enough waiters. Every time I've gone, the waiters are responsible for one whole section each and are constantly behind. They've got the best location in town, and have been using it to drive superior restaurants in the area under. Haven't yet had a dish here that I cared for, so I can't really recommend their food. Avoid the fish and chips, certainly; you'd think that would be the one thing a brewery could do properly. No such luck. The fish is always rubbery, the batter worse.
Most people go there for the beer, but even down that path, if you want a dark beer, you'll have to go somewhere else. The one good point is that they have a large open-air area that is dog-friendly. [19 Jul 2005 18:59:43]

Service Has Been Fine Lately Actually one of the better restaurants in Longmont. Service has been spotty in the past, but seems to have improved. Waitstaff have been friendly and responsive. Specials can be very good. Good selection on the menu. Only 2 other restaurants in Longmont I like better.

Voted Best Restaurant in Longmont, 3 Years Running The Pumphouse easily ranks as one of the top two or three restaurants in Longmont. Years ago the food and service was spotty, but not anymore. It's hard to find something not to like on their extensive menu, and service and atmosphere is second to none in Longmont. They do more business than most of the big chains in town - and for good reason: they welcome everyone, the place is a great value and is simply the coolest, most comfortable place to be in Longmont. The Pumphouse rocks! [18 May 2006 20:04:29]
