Highly overrated
This place is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights, and they don't take reservations. The food is good and the margaritas are good, but unless you're prepared to slip the owner a fifty, don't expect to be seated in less than an hour (unless of course you want to eat dinner at 5). An Institution in the Vail Valley
A great spot and a great destination restaurant. After a hard day on the ski slopes nothing beats a margarita at the saloon. The ambiance is quirky and relaxed, but very lively. They get very busy on weekends so dine early or late to avoid a wait (no reservations- but call ahead for an update on the wait time). This is where you want to go!
The Minturn Saloon is fun with great food. We took the family there and everyone enjoyed it. Great daily specials and game specialties. Very casual with good service and pleasant attitudes. A nice addition to our resort stay. Don't miss it. They have open another Minturn Saloon in Denver with a roof top patio.    [08 Nov 2005 10:50:34]
