Description

Named after the Canadian gray jay bird that swoops down and "robs" you of your food, the Camp Robber is an upscale-yet-casual restaurant with a southwestern theme, with many dishes prepared on their mesquite smoker and grill. Daily specials span the continents - from Italian to Thai. Casual, cozy atmosphere with friendly wait staff.

Dishes include salads Black Bean Tostada with Grilled Shrimp or Came Avocado; Spicy Chimayo Shrimp pasta; and their house specialty, Green Chile Chicken Potato Soup. Vegetarian menu items like the Veggie Black Bean Burritos and Homemade Chile Rellenos.

Camp Robber serves lunch and dinner, with a Champagne Brunch on Sunday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and has a full bar with wine list and micro brews.

Off-site catering and box lunches available.

The Montrose Daily Press Readers' Choice Awards in 2003 rated Camp Robber #1 in the categories Best Chef, Best Dessert, Best Sunday Brunch, Best Overall Restaurant and Best Caterer.

Yum, Yum, this is THE local's favorite place to dine
If you've never been to Camp Robber, do yourself a favor and go. The food is always scrumptious, the staff prompt and friendly, the prices moderate and the owners Bill and Kim are the greatest!    [12 Sep 2002 16:25:27]

Best Chefs in the Valley
The food at the Camp Robber is the best around. Everything is fresh and homemade. The quality is amazing, but understandable, as Chef Dave Frank has won Best Chef in the Valley for two years in a row (split with chef-owner Bill Volk this year).    [14 Jan 2004 19:55:54]
