Description

Located in the Old River Road Trading Post (natural foods store and coop).

Lamborn's motto is: "Health is our greatest wealth" and describes their lunches as "...a taste adventure and educational experience featuring vegan/vegetarian ethnic food prepared with emphasis on local organic produce."

Vegetarian meals prepared with locally grown organic produce, served buffet style. All organic salad bar. Homemade natural leaven bread made from farm-grown organic whole wheat plus wheat-free breads with spreads. Soups. Herbal teas.

Free community lunch every Sunday (seriously!). Natural food store and thrift store in same building, outdoor playground for children, dining on the large porch in good weather.

Healthy & Yummy
If you're looking for healthy, hearty fare that's lip-smackin' good, this is the place. They are open for lunch Monday-Friday, with a different ethnic theme each day (eg. Wednesday is Italian) and wraps on Friday. I was amazed to learn that they serve lunch on Sunday also - and it's totally free. Daily offerings usually include soup, several hot main and side dishes buffet style, bread (including non-wheat kamut), full salad bar and occasionally dessert (the apple crisp is beyond yummy). The staff is incredibly friendly (including the many volunteers who make the Sunday free meal happen). All ingredients are local, organic and often grown right there.    [07 Jan 2007 12:25:01]
