Description
This is a very small restaurant located north of Bantam lake. It doesn't look like much from the outside and inside the atmosphere is very casual. The restaurant specialized in barbeque but also offers Mexican specialties. Lunch prices range from $5-$10 while dinner platters range from $10-$20.

Great BBQ Where You Least Expect It!
This restaurant, in my opinion, serves the best barbque in Litchfield County. The Beef and pork ribs are succulent and not drowning in sauce. A selction of sauces is served on the side for you to apply as you like. In addition, the Mexican specialties are also very good. They have real green chili! []

Best BBQ in NW CT
The BBQ here is AWESOME! Beef and pork ribs literally fall off the bone and are NOT drowning in sauce. Pulled pork sandwiches are divine as are the honey hot wings. The Mexican seletions are very good too. They have real green chili! Something unheard of here in New England. []

Take my word for it. I have traveled the world in a quest to find a better chicken chimichanga than that served at Wood's Pit, but I have failed over and over again. I have since moved from the area, and that chimichanga is one of the things I miss the most. [29 Apr 2007 17:18:09]
