One of the best Japanese Steak Houses and Sushi Bars I've ever been to. The wait staff is friendly and helpfull. The Sushi is fresh and tasty, and the Chefs are skillfull and personable. I personally recommend John. [29 Dec 2005 13:00:53]

So good Although I have not eaten in the sushi part, I have been to the grill many times. And it is delicious everytime. Even the soup and salad before the meal are delicious. Everything is cooked in front of you so there are no surprises as to what is going in your food. [24 Mar 2006 00:10:16]

Very Tastee My daughter & grandson took me there to eat for my Birthday dinner! It was great, watching the chef cook your meal right in front of you. I even tried the sushi & saki. I liked it sooo much, I am going back again & bringing some friends.
We went there again & brought some friends, they really like it.They are going back with their kids.I like the family seating,& everyone gets to try whatever they cook in front of you! The shrimp & veggies are very tastefull. The cooks are very talented, food was great.Would recommend to others! [26 Apr 2006 08:40:33]

Not the best Really disappointed with Kampai. The service was adequate, but the hibachi chef was uninteresting and not very entertaining. My steak and chicken were ok, but my guest's salmon was dry and overcooked. The dining room with the hibachi tables is dark and dingy with a lingering greasy odor, worn and torn carpets and dirty grills and vents. I stayed anyway because it was my guest's birthday, but there are much better Japanese steakhouses out there with better entertainment, better food and OMG, cleaner dining areas.
