So good went again the next day We had Hibachi the first night with sushi for an appetizer; the sushi was so good that we went back for lunch the next day. The hibachi was very good taste wise, but the chef cooking lacked some of the enthusiasm that is the norm for hibachi. The udon noodles were excellent. The sushi all but melted in your mouth, was fresh and perfectly prepared. I am very, very picky about sushi and the sushi exceeded my expectations. The service a bit on the slow side, but not terrible. [04 Jan 2007 18:17:04]

The best in the northeast! I absolutely love the food here. I have yet to find another Japanese resturant that comes close to the same level of quality in terms of food and service. This is by far my favorite Japanese resturant and I live in Fairfield Cty where food is expected to be excellent. They don't have anything on Oyama! [20 Dec 2006 12:54:30]

We Had The Time of Our Lives My wife and I with our children love this place, it can get crazy sometimes around there specially on holidays but they managed to make everyone happy enough to want to come back. We've been going there for more than a year, at least three times, we always find the food to be exceptionally good. From time to time they have growing pains, but we see great improvement in the number and quality of the staff.
We've always had Hibachi but the other night we tried Sushi...Sexy Girl roll on special, that has spicy Lobster meat, and Shrimp Tempura....OHM...OHHHHM Delicious [11 Jan 2006 14:11:02]

Excellent variety and quality Delightful atmosphere and adventurous dishes (Tuna Martini, Chicken Cheese Mai) combined with a friendly staff equals a pleasant dining experience whether at a table or the sushi counter. Hibachi main and side dishes are prepared just right. [02 Nov 2004 16:42:36]

Food Great! I wish they had explained the system when I came in; I would have done the Hibachi. I Felt a little lost, but the food was excellent and I would go back [30 Jan 2005 15:25:32]

As Good or Better than Benihana Went the other day for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of the old Benihana over in Farmington before they folded. Awesome food, great service, great date or family restaurant. I'll have to try a work lunch and see how it is during the day. In any case, I'll be going back and recommending it to all. Worth a Visit Had dinner there on Valentine's Day with my wife. Not terribly romantic, I know, but it was convenient and we both wanted to try the place. The menu was extensive - you don't have to be a sushi fan to enjoy Oyama - but their sushi is excellent as well. We didn't sit at the hibachi tables (there are three of them), but they looked like a lot of fun. Overall, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the service was friendly, if somewhat slow (it was pretty packed on Valentine's Day). I'm looking forward to visiting them again soon. [15 Feb 2005 14:42:26]
